About research and development cell:

Research and development are an essential component of the academic pursuits at Godavari college of Engineering. R&D cell is one of the wings of the institute that supports, directs, documents, and oversees all the academic, sponsored, collaborative research projects and consultancy works within the institute. In a world where technology is rapidly advancing, academic research serves as the driving force behind a nation's economic progress. R&D cell aims to enhance the lives of aspiring engineers, research scholars, and faculty by fostering innovative ideas that can contribute to academic research. R&D cell is actively collaborating with key industries to provide training opportunities for students in this field. This objective will be very close to the heart of the industry in the direction of producing skilled engineers who are ready to enter the workforce. The primary objective of the institute is to foster a creative environment that encourages both academic pursuits and research among the faculty and students. It also fosters and oversees institute-industry interaction.

Functions of research and development cell:

• To foster awareness and provide opportunities for research and development among students and faculty, and to cultivate a research and development environment in every department.
• To generate interest and ambiance among the staff members, encouraging them to undertake research projects and enhance their knowledge, skills, and qualifications by registering for a ph. D's.
• To encourage the faculty members of the group to engage in research and development activities within their respective areas of specialization.
• To motivate staff members and students to submit technical papers for publication in renowned national and international conferences/journals.
• To foster the professional growth of faculty members from various disciplines in engineering, science, humanities, and management, we encourage their participation in research and development activities.
• To help with applying and securing funds for organizing seminars, workshops, or funding programs from different funding agencies.
• To encourage the growth of research within the academic community, including establishing mechanisms and goals to achieve this.
• To develop and coordinate strategies for maximizing the faculty's success in obtaining external research funding.
