The Department of Mechanical Engineering successfully organized the GATE Exam Awareness Program on September 12, 2024, at 3:30 PM in APJ Abdul Kalam Hall. The session was conducted by Mr. Vishal Meghani and Mr. Vineet Bhavsar, who provided valuable insights into GATE exam preparation, including strategies, resources, and career opportunities. The program aimed to equip students with the necessary knowledge to excel in the exam. Under the coordination of Prof. Mayur P. Thakur, the event received a positive response, with students actively engaging in discussions and gaining a deeper understanding of the examination process.
Mechanical engineering students at GF's Godavari College of Engineering (GF's GCOE), Jalgaon, had the unique opportunity to deepen their skills in CNC Programming and Machining during an intensive two_day_workshop, organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with the Institute Innovation Council (IIC), the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and the Material Advantage Godavari Engineering Chapter, the event was held on October 24 and 25, providing immersive hands on training. Under the expert instruction of Assistant Professor Mr Kishor M Mahajan.
The Mechanical Engineering Department organized an online talk on November 3, 2023, on the topic "Career Roadmap: Design Engineer" for mechanical engineering students. The session was conducted by Mr. Rajkumar Sontakke, an Alumini of the 2014 batch and a Design Team Leader. He shared valuable insights into career opportunities, skill development, and industry expectations for aspiring design engineers. The session provided students with a clear understanding of the career path in design engineering, helping them align their academic and professional goals accordingly.
The Mechanical Engineering Department organized an industrial visit to Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. on November 13, 2024. The visit provided students with practical exposure to advanced irrigation technologies, manufacturing processes, and industry operations. It offered valuable insights into modern engineering applications and the role of mechanical engineers in the irrigation sector. This hands-on learning experience helped students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industrial practices.
